World class racer Derek Bell takes a spin around the track at the BLMRA 12 Hour Lawn Mower Race in 2009. From the sound of it, he had a pretty good time! (Of course, it hadn’t become the sloggy mess it changed into later in the night!)
The race quickly became a pudding festival, with the racers pulling into the pits covered in mud and muck-”a free mud pack” enthused one racer! It seems there were more people ON the track pushing the lawn mowers out of the way than racing them!! If only all that mud was really chocolate pudding….!
